The Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Laboratory at the BC Women’s Center for Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis, BC Women’s Hospital and Health Center consists of a dynamic team of clinician-scientists. Their research program is focused on understanding the cause and development of endometriosis with a specific focus on sexual pain.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as a communications and public engagement volunteer.

This role is perfect for someone who is looking to develop skills in social media management, communications and/or health knowledge translation. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and dedicated team of health professionals and patient partners.

Responsibilities
• Create content for twitter
• Create content for a Quarterly Newsletter
• Produce visual abstracts of academic papers in plain language
• Design materials for public events
• Update existing academic and clinic websites
• Design a simple website for the National Action Plan for Endometriosis

Desirable Assets
• Familiarity with existing social media platforms (eg. Twitter)
• Interest in women’s health
• Creativity
• Attention to detail
• Clear and concise writer

Commitment
